Valmiera-Andren Ltd is the joint venture of Latvian private individuals and the Swedish company Sten Andren AB . It was established in 1993 on the basis of glass reinforced plastics shop of Valmiera Glass Fibre Plant. To promote the company development Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) participated as its co-owner and financial investor within the period from 1996 till 2006.

  • Our products

    Our products are largely related to the environmental protection as we produce reservoirs, pipelines and other constructions for highly aggressive chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid solutions, iron chloride, phosphoric acid, saline solutions, alkali etc. Since 1998 we produce waste gas purification systems (scrubbers) which are intended for air protection and elimination of the greenhouse effect.

  • Cylindrical product winding

    Cylindrical product winding dominates in our production and our machinery allows us to make pipes from DN 25 to DN 8000. For the production of large, non-transportable items, it is possible to install equipment on the site in the customer's territory.


  • Non-standard solutions

    The experience of our own and our partners' constructors allows to make complicated constructions to comply with the variety of standards, for example, PLN - 83 (Sweden), DIN (Germany), BS - 4994 (Great Britain), ASME RTP - 1 - 2000 (USA).


  • Quality standards

    Product calculations and drawings are often checked by international inspection companies such as SA (Sweden) and TUV (Germany).

    By showing its attitude towards the quality, environmental and labour protection requirements Valmiera-Andren has received its management system certification according to ISSO-9001:2000 , ISSO-14001:2004 and OHSAS-18001:1999 .

  • Our subsidiaries

    At the end of 2009, started its operations in a subsidiary company Ventspils-Andren - one of the newest plants Ventspils Free Port Industrial Area. Specialization - large reservoirs (up to DN 8000) and other fiberglass products for the export of industrial equipment.

Design and quality control

Quality control is very important, therefore our quality inspectors monitor manufacturing of products, by starting with inspection of raw materials, control of manufacturing process up to the complex inspection of finished products.


Drawings are created electronically

Product drawings are created electronically. Before manufacturing of product the drawings are sent through e-mail to customer for approval.

Pre - production inspection

Prior to delivery of drawings for manufacturing, they are inspected one more time.

Checking the conformity of the drawing

For technical cuttings of each product there is burnt out the resin layer, and quality inspector checks compliance of glass fibre layers to drawing.

Product thickness test

Thickness of products is checked with magnetic flux density meter.

Product hardness test

Inspection of product hardness with BARCOL hardness tester.
